AQUAintance Survey

Water is the elixir of life. It is the most valuable resource on the Earth and an essential component of the ecosystem because all living beings need it to support their living processes. But the development of modern industry, agriculture, and technology has resulted in increased water consumption, therefore leading the world to catastrophe gradually. The AQUAintance survey was an initiative by team NSS IITD that aimed to understand the fate of water from the time it reaches the home to the point of consumption by analyzing prevalent practices of water usage and conservation. With around 500 respondents including faculties, staff, and students of the IITD community, this initiative was a huge success and enabled us to extract some great inferences from the collected data.

Case Study quiz

Over the last decade, the world has been changing rapidly. We have come across many shocking environmental hazards like land degradation, soil erosion, ocean acidification, water scarcity and water pollution. Although some of the causes are natural, there is a considerable role of human interference in the outburst of the natural ecosystem. In order to sensitize our community about these challenges and encourage them to think of innovative solutions to these problems, the Envinterrogar (pronunciation: en•winter•o•gar) Quiz was organized by NSS IITD. A one-of-a-kind quiz, Envinterrogar aimed to depict the worrisome scenario of natural resources in India by presenting case studies. Case studies capture a wide range of perspectives and provide a holistic review of the topic. They help the audience gain insights in a specific niche, thereby enabling analysis at the grassroots level.
